Meet Clint! Clint volunteers as a dog walker for CA Humane in Red Deer, his hometown. When Clint was on a highway trucking job in Yellowknife, NWT, conditions were less than perfect for the winter of 2019-2020, covid isolation camps, etc. SPCA NWT was the place he discovered dog walking, and he has been walking dogs ever since.
“It made me feel at home when I was far from there. It’s a constant/consistent stop in my busy routine that helps keep me grounded, and I’m also told the puppies like trail runs.”
On Mondays Clint averages 6.5-7km and has seen up to 12km. Now as a foster it gives Clint a chance to have a furry friend at home where he may not have had that option before.
“I’d like to say thank you for the benefits I’ve had as well as making the impossible possible!”
Thank you for everything you do to keep our dogs happy here while they wait for their furever homes! From fostering, dog walking, helping with events, and picking up cash cans Clint has become a very important volunteer at CA Humane and we are so happy to recognize his hard work!
