Have you wondered how much care costs? CA Humane is a local not-for-profit charity that runs as cost-efficient at possible. We are not Government funded, and rely on fundraising and donations to support our animals and our care facility. Your monthly donation can consistently help support the animals we care for in our shelter.
We average over 80-90 cats and 34 dogs in our care at any one time, and costs for health and safekeeping is increasing as our economy continues to struggle. Your donation goes directly to helping us continue to care for our community’s abandoned, forgotten and homeless animals..
Average cost for care for one month:
*Average is based on our cost for food, medications, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and veterinary health check per animal with the current medium of six months stay in shelter.
*Additional costs could include special diets, meds, dental care and other required surgeries.
We are so grateful to our many supporters who champion our cause!
We also welcome adoption sponsorships for any one of our shelter animals. What that means is you can virtually adopt an animal in our shelter and sponsor their care until they are adopted into their forever home.
All our potential adopters are screened for the ability to provide care for their new pet and must meet all criteria whether or not the adoption fee is a special rate or sponsored.
All sponsorships are eligible for a tax receipt.
