With reverence to you beloved pet, the Central Alberta Humane Society offers both private and communal cremations as a dignified method of final disposition. We offer peace of mind that your pet will be given the utmost respect before reaching their final resting place.
Private Cremation
This option provides the opportunity to keep your pet’s cremated remains (ashes) with you.
We will provide a scatter box for temporary storage, a certificate of cremation, and offer a number of options including paw prints, urns, jewelry and keepsake boxes for memorializing your pet.
Communial Cremation
No cremated remains (ashes) will be returned to you when you choose a communal cremation. If you still wish for a keepsake, we offer the option of a personal paw print or ceramic paw impression.

Please know that grieving for your pet is normal. Those of us fortunate enough to love and be loved by an animal know the exquisite joy and quiet fulfillment that comes from animals living in our hearts. We know there is no turning back from loving animals intensely once we experience this bond. There are many resources to assist you and your family in the grieving and healing process.
