The Central Alberta Humane Society is proud to recognize Katherine as our Volunteer of the Month for May. Katherine began her journey with us in November 2020, initially helping with pet photo fundraisers where she delights in meeting and petting animals who have found their forever homes.
Over the past two years, Katherine has expanded her contributions by managing a donation can route, collecting vital funds for our organization, as well as volunteering at past Blackfalds Bulldogs hockey games selling 50/50 tickets, and many other offsite events. She also generously provides monthly donations of wet cat food through her personal Amazon subscription.
When not volunteering, Katherine serves as an Administrative Associate with The Zukiwsky Group at Scotia Wealth Management. Katherine and her husband Dan enjoy taking their dogs – Nanook, Abaddon, and Olga – on adventures around Alberta to explore different landmarks together. Her dedication to our cause stemmed from a desire to engage with her community beyond her professional life.
Katherine’s reliable presence and genuine love for animals have made her an invaluable member of our volunteer team. We’re grateful for her continued support and commitment to improving the lives of animals in Central Alberta.
