Ellie is originally from Austria and came to Canada in 1972. She worked for an investment company until retirement and later started her own business. After a few years, she decided she wanted to give back. Since she has always loved animals, the Humane Society was her first thought. Ellie began volunteering about three years ago and loves cuddling and playing with the cats. There are always wonderful kitties waiting for some attention.
The staff absolutely love working with Ellie. She brings such a positive and cheerful energy to the shelter every day she’s here. Whether she’s folding laundry, organizing aprons, or spending time with the cats, she approaches every task with kindness and care. Ellie always has a story to tell, and we all enjoy hearing about her life and experiences. Her warmth and compassion brighten the room, and both our team and the cats look forward to her visits. We have truly grown to love and appreciate everything Ellie brings to our Humane Society family.
