Meet Sarah!
She started volunteering at the Humane Society in July 2025 when she was looking for something fulfilling to do while between jobs after moving to Alberta. She began her volunteer journey as a kid at a local shelter and ski hill before working for an animal rescue. She has two cats at home but missed being around dogs, so being able to spend time with the dogs at the shelter has been especially rewarding. She also helped with our 2025 garage sale in our book section, where she quickly became fast friends with our volunteer team. More recently, she’s started helping train new volunteers in the dog program, sharing her experience and confidence to help others succeed.
