Meet Verda! Verda took our Cat Cuddling/Pocket Pet orientation in early 2023. She has met so many interesting cats and kittens while volunteering for CA Humane. Verda has been an active volunteer with multiple organizations on boards and committees. She decided to leave the more structured and formal work and heard that we were looking for volunteers. Verda applied and has been with us ever since.
“I am trained to work with the cats, but i also help with the laundry – in fact i specialize in untangling volunteer aprons!”
Verda has been a delight to have in shelter whether she is snuggling cats or struggling to untangle our volunteer aprons. She is a huge help and a great example for others.
