Jo Arnold has volunteered for the Central Alberta Humane Society for 3 years. She also volunteers at the Whisker garage sale and weekly at the John Howard Society. At John Howard, Jo helps prepare taxes for low income families. When Jo’s kids were attending elementary school, she volunteered in the classroom as well as at school events.
Jo is very organized, detail oriented, has a lot of grit, loves to help people of all walks of life, always strives to be fair, is friendly, humble, patient and generous. All of these qualities make her a lovely human being and excellent volunteer. When Jo commits to doing something, it is guaranteed to be done. When Jo started at CAHC, her task was to sort all the cutlery and kitchen tools. It was a massive job with boxes full of cutlery/kitchen tools piled all over the tables and the floor. With never a complaint, Jo started sorting and when she finished a few days later, it looked like a well organized kitchen shop. Today, Jo willingly organizes and sorts any section in preparation for the garage sale.
Jo loves her grand dog Arlo and grand cats Raylan and Ava. Arlo loves to eat all vegetables especially cabbage and carrots. Before Arlo visits, Jo makes sure to have veggies on hand.
