Together, we stand committed to providing emergency boarding and assistance to evacuees affected by this relentless disaster.
Immediate Action for Human and Animal Evacuees:
- The City of Red Deer is collaborating with the province of AB to facilitate emergency boarding of Northwest Territory wildfire evacuees.
- The Central Alberta Humane Society, a beacon of compassion, joins hands with The City of Red Deer to ensure the care and shelter of evacuated animals.
Animal Care Prioritized:
- The Central Alberta Humane Society takes critical action, freezing intakes of surrendered animals to allocate resources for the urgent care of evacuated animals throughout this emergency evacuation.
Evacuation Check-In Point:
All evacuees are to report to the GH Dawe Recreation Centre upon arriving in Red Deer at 6175 67 St, Red Deer, AB T4P 1A3.
