Hey friends, I’m Trooper! I’m one of the pups who recently arrived through the Northern Rescue, and I’m slowly but surely finding my paws here. I might not be the first one to rush up for attention, but don’t let that fool you, I have a gentle heart and a real fondness for people once I feel safe. I’m one of the shyer dogs in the group, and I like to take my time getting to know new faces and new surroundings. With a little patience, a calm voice, and some reassuring kindness, I warm up beautifully. When I trust you, you’ll see just how sweet and loyal I can be. I truly want to bond; I just need someone who understands that I move at a softer pace. I also get along very well with other dogs. In fact, having a confident canine friend nearby helps me feel braver and more secure. I enjoy their company and often take cues from them, so a home with another friendly dog could be a wonderful fit for me. What I need most is a family who can help me build confidence, someone who will celebrate my little victories, guide me gently through new experiences, and let me grow into the amazing companion I’m meant to be. With patience, encouragement, and love, I know I’ll shine. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive dog who just needs a bit of extra support to blossom, I’d be so happy to meet you. I may start off shy, but I promise the connection we build will be something special.
