Hello friends, my name is Kira. I came to the Central Alberta Humane Society alongside three other Huskies after we were left outside the building. It was a frightening and uncertain experience, but the caring staff here made sure we were safe and gave us the chance to begin again. Now that I am settled in, I am ready to start the next chapter of my life, which I hope will be with a loving family I can call my own. I am a gentle and sensitive girl who is still learning about the world around me. Because I did not have much socialization early on, meeting new people can feel a little overwhelming at first. I may be shy and need some time to feel comfortable, but with patience, kindness, and understanding, I will slowly begin to open up. Once I feel safe, my sweet nature starts to shine through, and I form strong, meaningful bonds with the people I trust. I do well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to help me feel more confident. I am not quite sure how I feel about cats yet, but the staff here will be helping to learn more about that so my future home can be the right fit for me. What I need most is a calm, supportive environment where I can continue to build my confidence at my own pace. Someone who is patient and willing to guide me gently will help me grow into the loving and loyal companion I am meant to be. I have already come so far, and with the right person by my side, I know my future can be bright.
