Hello there, my name is Freya. I am a sweet older girl with a gentle heart, and I am ready to begin a new chapter in my life. I came to the Central Alberta Humane Society alongside three other Huskies after we were left outside together. It was a confusing and difficult experience, but thanks to the kindness and care of the staff here, I am now safe and being given the chance to find a loving forever home. I have a calm and kind nature, and I truly enjoy the company of other dogs. I would likely do very well in a home with a canine companion who could help me feel more comfortable and supported. I am not quite sure how I would be around cats just yet, but the staff here will continue to learn more about that to help find me the best possible match. When it comes to meeting new people, I can be quite shy at first. I did not have much socialization earlier in life, so new situations and unfamiliar faces can feel a little overwhelming. I just need a bit of time, patience, and gentle reassurance to feel safe. Once I begin to trust, my sweet personality starts to come through, and I form quiet, meaningful connections with the people around me. As a senior, I am looking for a calm and understanding home where I can relax and enjoy a peaceful routine. I would thrive with someone who is willing to move at my pace and give me the space I need to grow more confident over time. In return, I will offer a loyal presence and a soft, loving companionship that comes from a lifetime of quiet resilience.
