Have you wondered how much care costs? CA Humane is a local not-for-profit charity that runs as cost-efficient at possible. We are not Government funded, and rely on fundraising and donations to support our animals and our care facility. Your monthly donation can consistently help support the animals we care for in our shelter.
We average 80-90 cats and 34 dogs in our care at any one time, and costs for health and safekeeping is increasing as our economy continues to struggle. Your donation goes directly to helping us continue to care for our community’s abandoned, forgotten and homeless animals.
We do our part to stop overpopulation and the resulting abandonment and homelessness.
CA Humane has facilitated over 600 spay & neuters in 2023 alone.
Our average cost of care in today’s economy: Dogs = $110 per month ~ Cats = $65 per month ~ Pocket Pets = $50 per month
Included in these monthly costs are spay/neuter, standard vaccinations, microchip and a veterinary health check.
Additional costs could include special diets, meds, dental care and other required surgeries.
