About Dog Hero
Dog Hero is a brand-new community event for Central Alberta, created to celebrate the special bond between people and their dogs while supporting animals in care at the Central Alberta Humane Society (CA Humane).
This first-of-its-kind event invites dog lovers from across the region to enjoy a fun, outdoor, dog-friendly experience at Canyon Ski Resort — one of Central Alberta’s most scenic venues.
By participating, you’re helping fund essential CA Humane programs, including:

Shelter care and medical treatment for hundreds of animals

Adoption programs to connect pets with loving homes

Community support initiatives, including emergency pet food, reduced-cost spay/neuter programs, and volunteer-assisted services

Educational programs for schools, PD days, summer camps, and community events
