Luke

My boyfriend Tyson and I adopted him August 2013. When we first met him he was very timid, and especially scared of Tyson. Once we took him for a walk, he opened right up to us and we knew right away he was the dog for us. He is still quite timid with new people and some new dogs but he has come a long way.

We're able to bring him to the dog parks in Red Deer to help socialize him better, I think that has helped the most. He also has warmed up to all of our family and friends.

In the summer he loves camping, swimming and coming to slow-pitch tournaments. In the winter he's all about digging and rolling around in the snow. He has got so much better walking on the leash, and he always listens to Tyson and I when he's off leash at the park or while camping. He does think he's pretty sneaky when he crawls up the couch to sit on our laps, but nothing beats a furry, 70 lb heater. We're still working on a few other manners (jumping on people, barking at guests in the house) but other than that he is doing great! We're so happy to have our big furbaby, we couldn't imagine life without him.
