Emergency Boarding
The primary mission of the Emergency Boarding Program is to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, hospitalized, and living in poverty.
Program Details:
The Specialty Program provides short-term housing at no charge for animals belonging to individuals in crisis.
Program Qualifications
Individuals requiring access to the Specialty Program must be referred by or verified by a recognized service agency or professional, such as a Social Worker (RSW/BSW/MSW), Police Officer, or Crisis Intervention Worker. Admittance to the program is considered only after all criteria have been met, and is granted at the discretion of the staff Social Worker or Animal Care Manager.
