Inspiring & heartwarming stories from Central Alberta's adopted pets.
Ellie's Adoption Story
We adopted Ellie back in March of 2021 when she was named Frankie Ginger. She was estimated to be about 10 months old at the time. Ellie was brought into the shelter with a head injury after she was attacked by another dog as she lived free roaming. The vet thought she may lose her left eye due to this injury but the amazing vet team at the shelter was able to nurse her back to health and now minus a couple teeth mark scars, she is perfect. Ellie is not a huge fan of other dogs (understandable given her story) but she loves her big brother Ace <3 She gives the very best cuddles and keeps us laughing with her constant shenanigans. We love her endlessly and are so happy she joined our family!!
